Perimeter Security System Design

Design of Perimeter Security systems (commonly called Perimeter Intrusion Detection and Assessment Systems (PIDAS) that are effective and do not unnecessarily impede the flow of traffic or commerce requires specialized knowledge and understanding of threats and mitigation measures. S3’s experience includes design of PIDAS for both maritime and terrestrial assets.

S3 designed a perimeter security costing and performance evaluation program to evaluate costs and effectiveness of perimeter security systems for all U.S. Navy shore infrastructure. The model and software was subsequently used for the design of a weapons station perimeter security system and on high security Naval facilities. Our experience includes naval bases, seaports, weapons stations and air stations.
